the Process
01. Connect & Envision
Once you inquire, I take the time to truly understand your story — who you are, what you value, and what you’re dreaming up for your wedding day. I want to know the moments that matter most to you so I can serve you with care and intention from the very beginning. After a consultation call, we’ll choose the perfect collection for your vision, and I’ll officially reserve your date.
02. Personalization & Planning
After booking, you’ll receive a detailed “get to know you” questionnaire so I can tailor your experience to your personalities, comfort level, and priorities. We will also schedule and plan your engagement session if one was included in your proposal. Two months before the wedding, we’ll dive into your photography timeline together — making sure every meaningful moment, family grouping, and detail is planned for. My goal is to remove stress and help you feel prepared and held, not overwhelmed.
03. The Wedding Day Experience
On your wedding day, I show up early, grounded, and fully present for you. I pray over your day, your marriage, and my ability to serve you well. Throughout the day, I’m a calming presence, gently directing when you want guidance and stepping back when the moment deserves stillness. I work with both digital and 35mm film to create a gallery that feels editorial, emotional, and honest — a blend of cinematic portraits and real, unposed moments.
04. Sneak Peeks & Storytelling
Within a few days, you’ll receive a small collection of sneak peeks that feel like a mini highlight film — the emotion, the portraits, the tiny in-between moments you didn’t even realize happened. These are curated intentionally to help you relive the energy and beauty of your day right away.
05. Gallery Delivery
Your full gallery is delivered within 8-10 weeks, filled with a thoughtful mix of digital clarity and nostalgic film texture. Every image is edited to feel timeless, cinematic, and true to color — preserving not just what your day looked like, but what it felt like. This is your story, told with intention, emotion, and artistry.
06. Albums & Heirlooms
If you choose an album or print collection, we’ll design it together so it becomes an heirloom for your family — something that will be held, shared, and passed down long after the day is over. Your legacy deserves to be preserved with care.
For portrait sessions, payment is split in half. 50% due at booking as the retainer fee and 50% due 1 week before the session date as final payment. Payment must be paid in full before your session date or I am not legally responsible to show up per my contract.
For weddings, I split the payments into four payments. The first payment is due at booking which is a $1500 retainer and the last payment is due 30 days before the wedding date.
I provide sneak peeks within 48 hours (unless I am traveling or have a double wedding weekend.)
For a portrait session the turnaround time is up to 4 weeks, and for a wedding the full gallery turnaround time is up to 10 weeks. Your gallery could definitely be delivered before then depending on my workload and home life.
During any session I have 2 SD cards in my cameras at all times, both writing the same images so that in case one SD card corrupts, the other card has the same images on it. As soon as I get home from a session, I back the images up to an external hard drive and also a cloud-based server. These images are kept there indefinitely. I keep the images on the SD cards until the full gallery is delivered.
