Are you looking for a location to take your engagement session photos? I have made a list of my top 10 favorite locations in NC that I have photographed. I am from Greensboro, NC so this list is for locations relative to my location.
- 1. Downtown Winston-Salem
Downtown Winston-Salem is one of my favorite places to take my clients for engagement sessions. It gives a very rustic and industrial feel to the images in one of the locations near Incendiary brewing company. Then when we go to the rooftop of one of the parking decks downtown you get a whole other urban, editorial style vibe! The colors really make the couple pop and you can feel the passion between them!
- 2. Downtown Greensboro
Downtown Greensboro has so many options when it comes to locations. What I do when I do photoshoots there is just walk around and get a feel for what spots might look good in photos! I am a go with the flow photographer and this is always a fun way to get to know my couples more too. Just walk around, chat, take pictures and have fun! These images were taken by the water fountain downtown, on a parking deck, in front of the Carolina Theatre, at Little Brothers Brewery, on some side streets and on the stairs of one of the parking decks!
- 3. Reynolda Gardens in Winston Salem
Reynolda Gardens is a beautiful garden and greenhouse located within Reynolda Village in Winston-Salem. This is a beautiful spot to take any kind of photos but especially engagement! There are a lot of different areas to give variety for your background and all times of the year look different there depending on what season it is! These photos were taken late fall into winter. During spring there are a lot more colors in the area with flowers in bloom.
- 4. Moonlight Studio in Greensboro
This is my lifestyle studio in Greensboro that me and my husband built for me to do all types of sessions in! I have not done an engagement session here yet but I’m looking forward to doing one soon!
- 5. The Little Chapel in Winston Salem
This location is a hidden gem but absolutely beautiful! The chapel is gorgeous but there is also a little pond with a boat that gives off the Notebook vibes! There is a field area as well so lots of options for different back grounds!
- 6. The Farm on Groometown in Greensboro, NC
The Farm on Groometown is actually a wedding venue! This farm is super fun with lots of Country yet modern vibes. They have longhorn cows, a donkey, and horses! Lots of open land and a beautiful barn.
- 7. Rough Ridge Trail in Banner Elk, NC
This is one of my favorite mountain locations! The hike is very easy, about 10 minutes and the views are absolutely stunning. It is a bit of a drive for me but it is so worth it.
- 8. Hanging Rock in Danbury, NC
There are several different locations at Hanging Rock that are amazing for Engagement photos! The first spot is at the very top of the hanging rock trail. This hike is very hard so only do it if you are willing to hike to the top for an hour up a lot of rocks and harsh terrain! But the views at the top are very worth it.
- 9. Pilot Mountain in Pinnacle, NC
This is another really easy location to go to with very beautiful mountain views!
- 10. High Point Train Station in High Point, NC
This is a great location if you are looking for something a bit different than the typical Engagement session!
